Call from 616-209-9278. I didn't pick up. It was non-profit/political solicitation.

I was not home but Sarah Palin left a "mama bear" message about how concerned she is for our country. After that BS I deleted the message. If I'd been smart, I would've unplugged my land line in June. Citizens United should be labelled Corporations United.

Left no message. The number is now in my computer program PhoneTray Free which will answer this number the next time they call, give them a piece of my mind, and hang up. All that's needed is a Fax/Data/Voice/CallerID modem and the free program. Check it out at: www.phonetray.com or www.facebook.com

Thanks to the aggressive calling, mailing and other BS being shared with all by the republican party I have now ruled them out a legitimate choice in the next election. Living in a state that re-elected a Governor that has gutted the state in the interest of a balanced budget so big tax breaks can be given to big business I believe this a look at what this country will be if the republicans get into office and have control of both houses. Remember the words, "follow the money" and in the case of the republican party that leads back to the rich and big business. Ask your self "is this who you want defining your future"?

I am so SICK to DEATH of getting these phone calls!!!! I get them 2-3 times every single stinking day! I answer the phone and there is nobody on the other end, no pre-recorded message or anything. I am ready to rip the phone out of the wall. I do not have caller ID so I have no idea if it is a private call or not. This is giving me a coronary already.... Make it stop!!!!

Rang in; no message. I've reached the point where I don't answer ANY calls that aren't clearly identified. Anyone using "PRIVATE CALLER" will NOT get an answer. If you call in that way you pretty obviously are telling me that you are hiding something. This call came in as "Out of Area". That won't get picked up either. Fuck 'em.

Yes, this is true Resident47, certified mail is a great way to prove "due notice" I'm not familiar with state laws other than Ohio. Receipt of an email or recorded phone message can also be considered "due notice". Ohio residents feel free to copy and paste my earlier post pursuant to Ohio Revised Code. americanfuturefund.com/ is the originator of these calls and can be contacted there. NO you do not need an attorney to file criminal charges regarding telecommunications harassment. Simply go to your district attorney with call logs to and from you residence.

This is one of those times I like being proven partly wrong. It would have been prudent for ''anonymous'' to qualify that complaint with a state law reference, as such protection is not likely to be available to everyone reading this. That's a great statute if it is applied consistently to business callers the same as personal. I note the bad behavior must be done ''knowingly'', a standard found in federal and other laws which address the issue of consent to make contact. This is one reason I harp on the use of Certified Mail for ''shut-ups'', that being the simplest way to get to ''knowing'' without inviting an amnesiac argument later.

Resident 47..It is a criminal offense in the state of Ohio Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Title [29] XXIX Crimes - Procedure: Chapter 2917: Offenses Against The Public Peace 29 17.21: Telecommunications harassment, A. Whoever violates this section is guilty of telecommunications harassment. 2. A violation of division A1, 2, 3, or 5 or B of this section is a misdemeanor of the first degree on a first offense and a felony of the fifth degree on each subsequent offense. 3. sssiiighhh .... An example of a ''criminal offense'' would be mugging you for your wallet or getting sliced in a knife fight. When was the last time you were physically assaulted by a ringing phone? It is not a civil offense or any other kind when a caller reaches you which *IS ALREADY EXEMPT* from scrubbing the federal Do Not Call registry. Here's the link to the FTC FAQ page which the DNC site repeatedly invited you all to read before you registered your numbers. See items 28 through 32. Q&A: The National Do Not Call Registry www.ftc.gov We're in for another few weeks of political speech and fundraising calls. Losing your cool won't end a nuisance call campaign. A polite call source will take the phone number you want added to an internal no-call list. A less polite one may need a ''cease communication'' notice via USPS Certified with return card.

My Caller Id said Battle Creek, MI and up above it says Hudsonvl, MI What do people have to do to stop these unsolicited phone calls? I think most of us are willing to file formal complaints in order to get these stopped. I thought it was a criminal offense for people to call you if you're on the no-call lists.. and even if you have what they consider as a "relationship" with a company if you tell them not to call you again...and they do.. THAT'S criminal. These poliing places the last couple of months are also the worst!!! You ask them not to call you again.. and they get rude and tell you that they have the right to call you.. even though they don't if you ask them not to! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Caller id just stated number and MI. I don't know anyone in Michigan so I didn't answer. But I'm leery of pushing any buttons to get off a list, and/or leaving any info whatsoever. Wasn't there a way that when we would receive 'collect' calls, and pushed a certain button, that we were ok'ing the call, or allowing the caller to use our phone line in a 'three-way forward' type call? I will either not answer calls, or put them on speaker and wait until I hear a human. And the speaker is used only for 'unknowns' because that is how most doctor's send reminders.

American future funds polling line....at least that is what the recording said when I called it back. If you wait for the message to end, you can leave your name, state of residence, and phone number to be taked off their list. We'll see if it works.
